Sun Sign Dates

The tropical zodiac is based on a map of fixed stars around the earth. It begins each year with the spring equinox. The dates for each Sun sign are approximate since the year’s length isn’t exactly 365 days (that’s why we have leap year every 4 years).

Aries ☀️ 21 March – 19 April

Taurus ☀️ 20 April – 20 May

Gemini ☀️ 21 May – 20 June

Cancer ☀️ 21 June – 22 July

Leo ☀️ 23 July – 22 August

Virgo ☀️ 23 August – 22 September

Libra ☀️ 23 September – 22 October

Scorpio ☀️ 23 October – 21 November

Sagittarius ☀️ 22 November – 21 December

Capricorn ☀️ 22 December – 19 January

Aquarius ☀️ 20 January – 18 February

Pisces ☀️ 19 February – 20 March

If you were born near the the time the sun moves to the next sign (some refer to this as the cusp) you aren’t a blend of 2 signs. It just means you need to check your natal chart to know your sun sign. For example, you are either 29 degrees of Aries or 0 degrees of Taurus.

There are lots of free sites to do this. You enter your date, time and location and you’ll have your natal chart. Here’s one at cafe astrology.
